It is my great pleasure to welcome you all to the 9th BIANNUAL PAN AFRICAN PAEDIATRIC SURGICAL ASSOCIATION (PAPSA) CONFERENCE, 17th to 23rd March 2012 in Capetown Republic of South Africa.
We are happy to bring home the PAPSA conference to Cape Town its birth place.
Cape Town is the southmost point of the African Continent and a merging of the two giant oceans namely the Indian and Atlantic.
This years’ Theme is SURGICAL INFECTIONS AND TECHNICAL INNOVATIONS. Beside the scientific conference there will be three courses on Minimally invasive surgery, BAPS Neonatal surgery and colorectal surgery. We are blessed to have in attendance more than 15 reknown Professors in Paediatric surgery from all over the world. They’ll present state of the art papers and conduct the various courses. I am encouraging our young paediatric surgeons and the Paediatric surgical residents from Africa to attend in large numbers.
This is a great opportunity to meet the great people in the field whom we read their books and surgical skills. To some it will be another opportunity of meeting Prof. Heinz Rode the Father and Founder of PAPSA and attend special lecture under his name.
